Episode Summary

Hard Gay has decided that Yahoo! should use him as a character in one of their commercials, so he rushes into one of their office buildings and pretty much tells the receptionist that he's going to be taking control for a bit. He gets in contact with someone and manages to go see the guys in the sales department where he makes some copies, and then invades one of their meetings. He asks the skeptical people in the meeting, (which happens to be a meeting about the Yahoo! auction site), whether or not they think one of his Hard Gay Caps will sell well on their auction site. They don't think it'll do well, but it apparently sells for about $250 in 3 hours. Hard Gay takes this information to the guys in the Sales department and tells them that the internet people accept him as a good figure so that means they should put him in a commercial. The executives say tell him that just that doesn't make you a good person for a commercial, etc. Hard Gay plays the gay card, the executives are about to rebuttal it, but Hard Gay tells them he'll be a signboard character instead. Confused, the executives tell him to just do what he wants, so he does.

Translator's Notes

One of the main lines that needs to be talked about is when Hard Gay says "I tooked it" in the subtitles. This is as accurate as it could be made. The Japanese is "totta do~" which is an imitation/rip from a famous Japanese professional wrestler, Antonio Inoki. When Inoki was fighting in a match and broke someone's arm, he reportedly shouted out "otta do~!" which is something akin to "I broked it!" The grammar there is off because the "do~" Inoki adds to the end of it isn't exactly correct Japanese. That is where Hard Gay took that line from and modified it for his own uses.

When HG calls the receptionist a bitch, he doesn't mean it in the normal sense that is used today in America. He is calling her a female animal, literally, and using it as a slightly derogatory statement towards women. Not nearly as derogatory as the current connotation in English, more the literal of her being called a female dog.

Another point of interest in the translation is when HG is giving the 'massage' to that one Yahoo! employee. There was no good translation found to translate the line "Ah turns into agh!" The Japanese line goes, "「そ」に点々「ぞ」!" Assuming both of those were sounds, the closest possible translation that could be found was the current one, however there are probably more accurate translations out there. None were found at the time of this translation.

There were also a few points when HG's voice was completely drowned out by the sound of the Bakuten staff and audience laughing. Those portions of the sub were made up to be similar to what HG was believed to be saying. If any better translations surface or are pointed out, Bakafish will most likely update the subtitles and the videos.
