Episode Summary
Earliest Hard Gay moment on television that we can find so far, this was way back in 2004 on a random show where our hero HG, working in the group Big Porno with his partner in Razor Ramon and Koyabu Kazutoyo, made a music video for their rap about penises called Sunrise, Sunset.
Translator's Notes
First thing to note is that in the translation we are using some slang that might not be in all parts of the US. First one being a "quick shot". In otherwords, premature ejaculation. That wouldn't look that great in the sub, so liberties were taken and a slang phrase for it was substituted.
The next few lines of the rap are only meant to somewhat rhyme with penis in Japanese so they don't make as much sense from an English point of view. Tennis, onyx, and Agnes B. all rhyme with penis in Japanese, but have a few differences in English. Of course, they don't exactly have any meaning other than things that the group thought would be somewhat amusing to throw in and keep the rhyme going. These lines also happen to be talking about spots in Osaka, which they're trying to show off sort of like a promotional video for Osaka.
They mention that Miwa Akihiro happens to have a penis too in a somewhat, "Oh my god, he has a penis!" sort of way. Miwa Akihiro is an actor/professional singer who has performed in a decent amount of shows and movies, and while not much is known about him to us, we're going to assume he's a little bit on the fruity side.
Contribution by Pandemonium : Actually, Miwa Akihiro was famous for being a female impersonator, therefore the joke was that they were suprised that he actually had a penis.
The "power of gas" phrase came from a slogan that was being used by an (the?) Osaka Gas company starting in 2001 and going for about three years or so. Another Osaka reference.
Side note: A mixer is a sort of party/event where men and women get together to meet each other.
Mt. Daikan seems to be somewhere in the Tokyo area with a lot of random sweets shops and boutiques on it. So making a penis cafe there would just fit right in, (at least that's the joke.)
Johnny's Jr. appears to be people within the Johnny's group/office (male pop idols if I'm not mistaken) who have not had a CD Debut or anything of the sort yet. (Japanese Wiki Entry) Also, going commando means you aren't wearing any underpants, boxers, or anything of the sort under your pants/shorts. The slang might be different in your area.
And now the other part that was hard, if not impossible to translate was when they were naming the various tourist spots in Osaka with penis at the beginning of their names rather than the actual name. Peni-tenkaku is actually Tsuutenkaku (English Wiki Entry), Peni-saka Castle is Osaka Castle (English Wiki Entry), Peni-tonbori is Dotonbori Canal(English Wiki Entry), not sure what Peni-daore is but it seems to be a Sumo reference, Penis Yoshimoto is actually Yoshimoto Entertainment, which is the company HG works for, and we have no idea on Peni-takagetsu.
When those two newbies at the end say Hideyoshi'd be pissed because they called it Peni-saka Castle, that's because Osaka Castle was Hideyoshi's main castle for a while, we think.
